LAS VEGAS (Oct. 8, 2014) – CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar opens in Downtown Summerlin on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, serving lunch and dinner with vibrant American cuisine and modern sushi. This is CRAVE’s 9th nationwide location and the first in the west, as part of the premier retail and entertainment destination in the heart of Summerlin.
“Everything we’re doing here is built for Las Vegas,” General Manager Ryun Chastain said. “We brought the essence of CRAVE with us – the quality, the service, the atmosphere – but we’ve also made this something you won’t find anywhere else.”
Executive Chef Jason Talbot and the CRAVE culinary team have crafted an innovative menu focusing on seasonality and locally sourced ingredients. Signature dishes include the scallops with butternut squash risotto, bison burger and lamb meatballs with poblano cream sauce. A pizza oven displayed in the open kitchen area prepares signature flatbreads.
Curated by Head Sushi Chef Hiroki Ohata, CRAVE’s sushi selection touts a variety of traditional preparations, creative specialty rolls and a vibrant array of colorful options to suit all tastes, with fresh fish delivered daily. Guests can enjoy the ultimate sushi experience with one of its artfully decorated Hoshii, Geisha or Samurai sushi boats, perfect for sharing the chef’s selection.
On display in an all-glass wine cellar, the globally diverse and expansive wine list represents premier winemaking styles and grape selections and is available by the glass. CRAVE’s selection has earned it the Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence” award since the first location opened its doors in 2008. The bar touts a full spirits program with specialty cocktails, 12 beers on tap and eight sakes by the glass.
A tapestry of bright reds and rich golds, CRAVE’s decor matches the vibrancy of the cuisine with a warm and sociable atmosphere. Gold tiles surround the open kitchen area, wooden beams display prominently above the bar and four handblown light fixtures created exclusively for CRAVE by Andrew Brat are scattered throughout the dining area. A stunning six-foot chandelier, also designed by Brat, hangs in the entryway to greet guests.
The patio overlooks Downtown Summerlin’s open square area, where guests can enjoy the sounds of the water fountain by day and watch the flames of the fire pit by night.
Located in the square at the north end of Park Centre Drive at Downtown Summerlin, CRAVE is open Sun.-Thur. from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Fri.-Sat. from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Happy Hour is Mon.-Fri. from 3-6 p.m. and Sat. from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
