Public Relations Manager

General Purpose And Position Summary

OneSeven Agency is a growing integrated marketing agency based in Las Vegas with  account teams in Los Angeles and New York City. Our agency’s clients are located in Los Cabos, San Diego, Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas and more. Client industries include food & beverage, hospitality, entertainment, beauty, fashion, legal, consumer lifestyle and non-profits. 

The Public Relations-Account Executive is responsible for providing PR and event support for his/her designated accounts.  The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a flair for the written word, has a college degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related major, and at least two years experience in an agency environment with a solid network of media and influencer relationships.

This candidate will have a demonstrated history of working in a fast-paced environment while delivering multiple projects on schedule, on budget and with no errors. This includes taking initiative, assisting colleagues on projects and following up on assignments (both with team members and clients) by notifying the appropriate people when action items are complete. The Public Relations-Account Executive position assists in building, implementing, managing and reporting on comprehensive overall PR/marketing strategies for OneSeven Agency clients while having fun!

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and execute successful integrated communications plans including story ideation, materials development, media targeting, media pitching, coordination, vendor management, social media management and internal/external communication
  • Manage the day-to-day client relationship focusing on the proactive strategic development, execution, tracking and measurement of marketing communications plans, while resolving routine problems regarding public relations and marketing activities 
  • Master a broad understanding of public relations and marketing tactics, strategies and principles
  • Collaborate with the team to develop creative concepts, strategies and tactics for public relations, social media and marketing/promotions programs and email campaigns
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with local, regional and national press relevant to clients’ business, as well as bloggers and other influencers, by proactively engaging with and developing strong storylines 
  • Generate consistent, creative, proactive press materials and other content with minimal edits
  • Conceptualize and write newsletters and basic copywriting for client marketing materials, website, e-marketing, etc.
  • Provide strategic direction, manage and implement press conferences, briefings, media and special events
  • Participate in day-to-day monitoring of client industry news 
  • Prepare client status reports, campaign results and briefing documents
  • Provide professional, articulate and timely client communication
  • Update and maintain department databases, mailing lists, Google Drive files, etc. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Content Creation Internship

About Us and The Role

OneSeven Agency is a one source full-service marketing agency that fuses together seven core traditional and non-traditional facets of communications including: marketing, public relations, social media, creative services, digital marketing, events/event planning and strategic partnerships to produce measurable and successful campaigns with results. We specialize in creating and executing comprehensive campaigns for restaurants, chef talent, hospitality, luxury real-estate, health & wellness, beauty, retail, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, entertainment, attractions, events and consumer lifestyle brands. 

We’re hiring a select group of students and recent graduates, to be Content Creation Interns. This internship will help you navigate agency life and learn more about the different facets our team has to offer including photo, video, graphics, email marketing, etc. This is an in-person internship that allows you to explore agency culture over the course of 6-8 weeks. We understand some schools have set requirements to fulfill course credit, and we are willing to work with those requirements.

Fall 2022: September 12 – November 11

Spring 2023: January 23 – March 31

OneSeven Agency is fully committed to creating an effective and meaningful internship program for both the intern as well as the organization. In order to reach this desired result, the intern will explore all departments of the agency including: public relations, social media, influencer marketing, graphic design, events/partnerships, and video and photography. 

 

During your Content Creation Internship, you may:

  • Help distribute marketing materials and creative media, contribute feedback, trend identification, and new ideas for marketing strategy and tactics
  • Contribute to tactical brainstorms to help inspire the team with new ideas.
  • Anything else that may interest you. We wear many hats and are intentional in finding opportunities to develop our team members!

Requirements: 

  • Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a college or university OR have graduated from a college or university within the last 2 years. 
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Eagerness to learn and work with various departments in the company
  • Interest in videography, photography, graphic design and creating social content.
  • The ability to problem solve by asking questions to get to the root of a problem
  • Excitement in learning! This internship as an opportunity to get your foot in the door, and build long lasting relationships and skills
  • Classes in journalism, communications, graphic design, social media development, and/or video and photo editing.  
  • Understanding of the social media platforms Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.
  • Experience creating written, visual and/or video content for online marketing purposes and have demonstrated writing, proofreading and research skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc), iMovie and WordPress is highly encouraged.  
  • Creative, detail-oriented, punctual, flexible, possess an interest in marketing, excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently to complete projects in a timely fashion.  
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email, internet research and Microsoft Office.
