Vanishing Point Winery Debuts New 2012 Vintages from Sonoma Coast

NAPA, CALIF. (May 22, 2014) – Vanishing Point Winery recently added a 2012 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast to its portfolio after selling out of the first two vintages in three months.

Owners Sal Casola, Jr. and Chipper Pastron work with local winemaker Shawn Johnson, who describes the 2012 Vanishing Point Sonoma Coast Chardonnay with aromas of creme brûlée, geranium and nutmeg leading into ripe pear, browned butter and pineapple. Toasted nuts, mandarin orange and vanilla linger over a long, silky finish.

The 2012 Vanishing Point Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir boasts aromas of fresh raspberry and forest floor leading into strawberry-rhubarb pie with hints of black tea and mandarin orange in the mouth. Cherry and nutmeg linger over a long, silky finish.

Both wines feature a new label depicting the “vanishing point,” the time of day before the sun dips below the horizon, casting a beautiful but fleeting light on the vineyards. Vanishing Point Winery strives to craft wines that capture the brilliance and beauty.

With a suggested retail price of $28, Vanishing Point Winery’s wines offer an exceptional deal and can be found in fine Vegas restaurants including Bouchon Bistro, Lotus of Siam, TAO Asian Bistro, LAVO Italian Restaurant, Botero, Marche Bacchus as well as Whole Foods. The wines can also be purchased in California at Divine Bar, St. Helena Wine Center, Mercado Restaurant, Urban Kitchen Grill & Wine Bar and San Dimas Wine Shop & Tasting Room.
